Arthur Attema

Associate Professor of Health Economics and Utility Theory

Arthur E. Attema is Associate Professor at the Health Economics Department of Erasmus School of Health Policy & Management (ESHPM). His main research interests include behavioral and experimental health economics, utility measurement, and intertemporal choice. Arthur obtained an MSc degree in Economics at the University of Amsterdam (cum laude) and an MSc degree in Health Economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam. He holds a PhD degree from the Erasmus School of Economics in Rotterdam. Arthur is chairman of the ESHPM Research Ethics Review Committee, is in the management board of BEHnet, associate editor for Journal of Health Economics and Theory and Decision, member of EsCHER and the Behavioral Economics Group, and coordinator of the Minor program "Smarter choices for better health" . He has been awarded the MTA price 2012/2013, an EUR Fellowship in 2016, and an NWO Open Competition L Grant in 2024.
